Refinishing
Refinishing a floor basically means giving it a facelift. Refinishing a floor involves: removing the floor’s current varnish, seal and stain. sanding down the floor’s top layer, to expose the bare wood and its natural grain. applying a fresh stain and lacquer or varnish.
Sanding
Floor sanding is the process of removing the top surfaces of a wooden floor by sanding with abrasive materials. A variety of floor materials can be sanded, including timber, cork, particleboard, and sometimes parquet. Some floors are laid and designed for sanding.

New Installation
Flooring Installers position the wood, tile, or carpeting and complete the installation, applying any finishing materials as needed. They are responsible for the whole project from start to finish as well as for job site safety and proper care of tools and materials.
Waxing
Waxing is a floor-finishing technique in which clear or colored wax, made of a blend of solvents and synthetic and/or natural waxes like beeswax or carnauba, is applied to a hardwood floor in a thin layer and then buffed to a shine.

Staining
Stain refers to solid particles of pigment suspended in a solvent, applied to wood to darken or change its natural color. Wood flooring professionals tend to assume that everyone knows that stain is quite different from finish (varnish is one class of finish used on floors, but not the only one).
Patches
Floor patch is a type of underlayment that is applied to the subfloor before the installation of the actual flooring material. It is an essential step in the flooring installation process, as it helps ensure that your new floors will be smooth, level, and long-lasting.

UV Floor Finish
The UV Oiled process for finishing engineered wood flooring uses the same finishing line as a lacquered floor. However UV oiled finishes are in fact like a lacquer but with a much deeper mat finish and look. Normally three coats are applied, all cured by UV lights which can be seen below.

Molding
Moldings are a necessary finishing touch for many projects, like making floor transitions seamless between two spaces, bridging gaps in flooring heights, or framing the border of a room. They’re separated into three categories: floor moldings, stair moldings, and wall moldings.
